The Five Elements Collection
My new collection inspired by something so natural and part of our lives that we are almost unaware of it. The world is unthinkable without Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space, which together are the Five Elements.
The balance of these elements both within ourselves and our surroundings shape our lives and our world. The deeper we contemplate each Element, the more we can relate to each other and understand our place in this world.
In this collection I have used a different semi-precious stone to represent each of the five elements.
Earth is represented by Smokey Topaz.
Water is represented by Aquamarine.
Fire is represented by Citrine.
Air is represented by Labradourite
Space is represented Rainbow Moonstone.
I was inspired to create this collection after studying The Five Elements with Swami Nityamuktananda in an Ashram in India over New Year. In addition to the collection I am offering Five Element consultations where I can explain to you which are your dominating elements and how you can make simple adjustments to your lifestyle to achieve balance.
The stones used in the collection and their meanings:
Smokey Topaz – Smokey Topaz is known as ‘the stone of true love.’ It helps to bring you joy, abundance and generosity, making you want to spread sunshine. It helps you to release tension and allows you to be in the moment. It aids in openness and honesty, allowing you to see the big picture and the minute detail and how they interrelate to each other.
Aquamarine – Aquamarine is known as ‘the stone of courage.’ It helps to calm the mind and promote self-expression. It encourages responsibility and helps to overcome judgemental thoughts towards others.
Citrine – Citrine is known as ‘the stone of abundance.’ It is a happy and generous stone that enhances individuality and an optimistic outlook. It helps to raise self-esteem and self-confidence with its warming, energising and creative properties. It is said to hold the power of the sun and therefore helps to promote joy in life.
Labradorite – Labradorite is known as ‘the stone of destiny.’ It helps you to dispel illusions and find your true path. It enhances patience and knowledge of right timing. It is a stone of transformation, calming overactive minds and energising the imagination. It aids in banishing fears and insecurities. It is said to be like human beings; grey and dull when you first look, but full of colours when you hold them up to the light.
Rainbow Moonstone – Rainbow Moonstone is known as ‘the stone of intuition.’ It is a gentle, calming stone that opens your mind to impulses and serendipity. It strongly helps you to communicate better, both with yourself and other people, allowing you to be clearer and more open to new adventures.
The face of this collection, is the beautiful Summer Rayne Oakes, the eco model and social entrepreneur behind Source 4 Style, who was a delight to shoot. The shoot was ethically styled with a dress is from Mark Liu‘s Rogue Agent collection, and boots from Beyond Skin.
If you would like to find out more, or purchase any of the pieces from this collection, they are available on my boutique and a few of them on the ASOS marketplace.
