Funny Women Comedy Challenge

****Update…I did it! Thoughts on the experience here****

So…the most petrifying thing that I have ever done is just around the corner. Last week I agreed to take part in the Funny Women Charity Challenge on International Women’s Day, with just two weeks to the event. I now have a week to think of something to be funny about and raise money for Womankind Worldwide. Here is a little video that Womankind made when I met them last week.

Never knowingly funny, I am absolutely terrified at stepping into the challenge. But the beauty of life is often in saying yes to the things that make you want to hide under your duvet for the rest of time. My work has always been about pushing outside the boundaries of how we normally see or do something, and so I am embracing the opportunity to do this for myself.

It’s an honour to be able to support Womankind Worldwide in the process, as the work they do is vital in today’s world. Did you know that 1 in 3 women will experience violence in their lifetime or that a woman is more in danger in a conflict zone than a soldier?

If me accepting this challenge and potentially making a massive fool out of myself can raise some money for women organisations around the world, I am happy to have a go, so please donate generously.
