SUMMARY:Winter Solstice Ritual at 42 Acres
DESCRIPTION:A beautiful evening hosted by “all that we are” to celebrate the winter solstice as a community. \nThis will take place in the mongolian yurt with a fire ceremony. \nWinter Solstice is one of the most important times in the year to honour\, as the light of the sun that feeds and nourishes us begins a new solar cycle. We are in the time here of the longest and darkest nights. This takes us deeper into the darkness and our own darkness\, not as something to fear but as a place of illumination so we may grow and transform. \nThere will be a ritual guided by Amisha with chanting\, energy work\, meditation and movement – preparing us for the holidays and the depth of winter. \nWe will offer an opportunity to journey into your heart with Cacao. And the movement will include yoga and free flowing dance. \nOur ritual will honour endings and beginnings\, with fire ceremony that allows us to connect with the light in the darkness. It will offer space to let go and to open to something new. Something deeply potent happens when we gather together in community to honour these powerful times. \n(The last event we held in November sold out. It was really special and we know this one will be too) \nAmisha has offered beautiful rituals all over the world including Bali\, Goa\, London\, Ibiza\, Croatia and New York. SUMMARY:Wild Grace Womens Retreat Avalon
DESCRIPTION:This WILD GRACE retreat will be 11-13th November\, in a very magical spot just outside of Glastonbury. Under the light of the full moon we will be bathed in practices that connect us deeper to our feminine powers through ritual\, chanting mantras\, myths (of goddess such as Lakshmi\, Durga and Kali)\, yoga asana\, meditation\, cacao ceremony\, energy healing\, yoga nidra\, fire ceremony – and ​a pilgrimage to the sacred sites of Avalon including the Chalice Gardens\, White Spring and Glastonbury Tor. \nThis part of the England has been special to me ever since I went through my priestess initiation seven years ago. I now live in Somerset as I find that these lands really hold me and speak to me. The places that I will be taking you\, are places that are special to me\, that I have spent time with on my own pilgrimages and that I find hold a unique energy that opens up something really important in our path of healing as women. I will be sharing stories ancient and modern about these places. \nThe theme of the retreat is to open up space for a more embodied truth of who you are – to shed some old stories and claim your future. For this retreat\, it will be an intimate small group of no more than ten sisters. Powerful things happen when us women come together in this way. \nYou can watch a short video of Amisha sharing about this retreat on instagram\, here and on facebook\, here. \n \n \n  \nThe Details: \nFriday 11th November – Sunday 13th November (we gather in the afterglow of the full moon). \nArrival 4pm on the Friday\, and we finish at 4pm on the Sunday. If possible give yourself some time to leave on Sunday gently… \nWe are 15 mins away from Castle Cary station where you can get a taxi if you come by train. We can also coordinate lift shares and such as the group comes together. \nOn Thursday 10th\, I am hosting a beautiful event called Heart Medicine with Tallulah Rendall at 42 Acres. You can also join us for this (and I can support you in finding somewhere to stay if this speaks to you). This event is only accessible by car (and so could be a good one to join with local friends if you are coming by train). \n \n  \nThe Venue: \nWe will be staying in a beautiful home\, close enough to Glastonbury and with a view of The Tor from the land. This is a peaceful countryside location where the only sound that might wake you up in the morning is that of donkeys… The gardens have a stone circle\, fire pits and many herbs and vegetables are grown. The spaces are stylish and beautifully designed. The main barn will be our group space for the weekend and we will make it really cosy. I have personally hosted rituals in this space and the energy is really beautiful. \n \n  \n \n  \n \n  \nThe Price: \nRetreat Fee: £360 (This rate includes meals apart from one we will have in Glastonbury during free time\, and all of the teachings) \nFor anyone attending the retreat who lives locally or will be arranging their own accommodation – it is £360. \nEARLY Bird discount = £300 retreat fee (book by Monday 17th October) \n10% discount on retreat fee for ATWA members (must have been a member for six months) \nAccommodation rates depend on which space you are staying in. I can send more information and pictures to help you decide. If you are coming with a friend you are happy to share a bed with\, then the rates are much less. \nBig Barn Downstairs with double bed – £260 / £130 each if sharing a bed \nBig Barn Upstairs with double bed and single bed – £300 for whole room / £150 if two sharing with one bed each / £100 each if three sharing \nSunrise Cabin (own space with small double bed) – £330 / £165 each if sharing a bed \nStarlit Cabin (own space with double bed and kitchen) – £390 / £195 each if sharing a bed with a friend \nThere is also an option where you can combine this with two intuitive therapy sessions with Amisha (one before and one after we meet) to support the transformation. This would normally be £220 but Amisha is offering this at £180 for this retreat. \nIn order to book\, you can either pay in full or place down a deposit and set up a payment plan to pay in full before the retreat begins. DESCRIPTION:WILD GRACE \nA Heroine’s Journey  \nDo you as a woman ever feel that you have been put in a box? Maybe you are the nice one\, or the sexy one\, or the intelligent one? As you have grown more into a narrow image of who you are – do you feel that parts of you have been shut down or left unexpressed\, unattainable. Wild Grace is a women’s retreat to reclaim these lost parts of yourself so that you can live in a fuller sense of wholeness\, power and responsibility. \nThe Dalai Lama famously said “The world will be saved by the western woman” – whether or not we can save the whole world – we are certainly in a unique position in history where we have freedom and resources to cultivate our feminine aspects\, use our voice and inspire others. We can’t stay in our boxes\, and we must help each other rise. \nThis means we need to fully honour the masculine in ourselves and in society\, and at the same time tap into our feminine nature – and deep capacity we have to love\, to listen\, to birth\, to create\, to play\, to channel wisdom\, to bring sensitivity\, to live through our intuition\, to transform and be connected to nature. \nTo do this\, we must also understand our shadow and the patterns we may have fallen into\, from victimhood to insecurity to manipulation to passive aggression. \nThis is our heroine’s journey. We will explore and embody many different aspects of the feminine experience allowing them to fully come alive in us. \nFor this retreat\, it will be an intimate small group. Powerful things happen when us women come together\, leaving behind for just a week the stresses and routines of our daily lives. A lot can shift in just seven days and you can bring that back to your relationships\, and your business or workplace. \n \nAbout the week:  \nEach day will be themed on a different aspect of the feminine – and the element and deity associated with it. We will start each day with meditation\, the mythological story of the deity\, mudra\, mantra and a deep yoga asana class which will take us deep into the myth. \nAfter lunch we will have time to “workshop” the qualities of the theme of the day\, including the ‘shadow’ elements. And then after dinner we will take part in a ritual where we are able to fully celebrate and embody this feminine energy. \nMeet within the Goddesses Lakshmi\, Sawaswati\, Durga\, Kali and Green Tara as we will awaken their potent qualities inside of ourselves through this experience. With mythology\, mantra\, mudra\, yoga\, dance\, energy healing\, creative workshops and ritual we will discover our connection to each of these goddesses and the Shakti that they represent in us and in the world. \nWe will move through any blocks holding us back from our power and awaken our divine feminine in the form of beauty\, wisdom\, courage\, fierceness and compassion. This retreat will give you a grounded understanding and forever expand your connection to these Goddesses\, as well as your relationship with your own feminine power and it’s balance with your inner masculine. \nIn the tantra worldview\, the masculine (shiva) is consciousness and the feminine (shakti) is energy. Each of us whether male or female has both so this understanding isn’t about the difference between men and women. Likewise\, this system is different to the system of Yin and Yang which comes from Taoism\, where the Yin (feminine) is the listening\, soft aspect and the Yang (masculine) is the active\, logical aspect. \nWe will start and end the week with this understanding of this divine union of Shiva and Shakti – so the Shiva energy will be present and holding us through our process throughout the week. \n \nWe use the Hindu goddesses as a map\, but you don’t have to believe in Hinduism or in yourself as a goddess to take part. It’s a language that helps us to uncover different aspects. These are deities that are often referred to in modern yoga. The word deva in Sanskrit (or the feminine form\, devī) comes from a Sanskrit root √div\, meaning both ‘shine’ and ‘play’. So deities are the shining playful ones. They are icons of our own essence-nature in its many aspects. The deities are real as patterned forms of consciousness that exist both within you (as an aspect of your essence-nature) and as patterns of energy-flow in the wider universe (of which you are\, of course\, a microcosm). Therefore deities are not reducible to either ‘gods’ (divine persons) or to ‘archetypes’ (aspects of our psyche)\, though in a sense they partake of the qualities of both.” Hareesh Wallis \n\nThis is about understanding the heroine’s journey and what it means to be a woman at this time – from menstrual cycles to activism to fire to water\, to finding our softness\, to finding our voice. We will explore and embody many different aspects of the feminine experience. These practices will open up connections to our female ancestors and future generations. \nAlthough the feminine is part of all of us\, man or woman\, this is only for those who identify as women to come together in sisterhood and experience the collaborative supportive side of women being together. \nIf you need some woman to woman time and want to explore different aspects of yourself in a fun and loving way – come! \nDon’t be put off by what have become buzz words of the modern priestess and new age world – ritual\, sisterhood\, moon\, etc – but please know that this will be a grounded\, rich and deep week – full of laughter and probably some tears\, rest and realisations. It’s a week of personal development\, transformation and action. \n \n\n  \nWhere Wild Grace came from: \n“Four years ago\, I was standing out in the cold night in the British countryside under the November full moon. I was howling as I was embarking on a great transition. Putting my belongings in storage\, leaving a very comfortable nest and taking a chance on a less stable but fuller lifestyle that I felt in my heart was where I needed to go – India. As I howled at the moon\, the words Wild Grace came to me and I immediately pictured this gathering. I saw the women gathered and the different elements from the rituals to the mantras to the sisterhood. A polymath and enthusiastic curator of people\, patterns and stories. Her current interest lies in the anatomy of transformation and innovation\, from ancient wisdom\, natural systems and indigenous community practices to digital and emerging technologies. She has been longlisted as one of the Most Influential Women in UK Technology\, as one of TED Talks Global Emerging Innovators and as one of the UK’s Top 100 Black and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Leaders in Technology. \n  \nBruce Parry: Film maker\, Explorer and Journeyer. Bruce has been making documentaries now for a couple of decades. What started out as a simple desire for adventure developed into a deep love for humanity and nature\, and the kind of response that comes with having seen first-hand the affect our way of life is having on the world. Bruce has lived with indigenous peoples the world over and has undergone male rites of passage with many of the tribes he visited. \n  \nCharlotte Pulver: At the heart of things is a modern day alchemist and change maker; being born into the Pulver lineage of apothecarians. She has a background in natural healthcare\, studying and practising various medical systems of healing for 20+ years. Her love is rooted in making medicines for people which she sells through ‘Pulver’s Apothecary’. She has been hosting water ceremonies and pilgrimages for many years; currently writing a book on London’s springs and wells\, and helped co-found The Fellowship of the Spring\, a group championing water guardianship in the British Isles. \n  \nChris Park: As a druid priest Chris has worked as a celebrant\, teacher & guide. With different hats on he is a professional storyteller\, musician & ceremonial piper. Steeped in British & European folklore his life and work ranges from arts and craft\, ancient technologies & eco-building to apitherapy\, educational projects\, ceremony & pilgrimage. A prolific beekeeper\, he is often seen extolling the virtues of bee products\, mead and the traditional honey drinks of this honeyed isle. \n  \nJimena Paratcha: Transformative Events Producer and active Community Leader. As Founder of Action for Brazil’s Children’s Trust\, Jimena guided the NGO to become a founding partner of Street Child United\, a global platform voicing the rights of young people at risk around the world. After 20 years working in the social justice sector\, Jimena turned towards the emerging environmental crisis campaigning for Fossil Free Sussex and Ecocide Law. Jimena has nurtured a keen interest in diverse healing and energy-work modalities becoming initiated into the Siddha Kundalini lineage and Nature Mysticism of Andean Peru. She bridges Indigenous traditions in the UK as a Guardian of the Yawanawa\, Huni Kuin and Tukano people of Amazonian Brazil and is a partner of the Akasha Retreat Centre in Rio de Janeiro\, a trustee of TreeSisters and a founding member of Friends of the River Medway. \n  \nAmisha Ghadiali: facilitator and host of the globally acclaimed podcast The Future Is Beautiful. She is interested in where our inner and outer worlds dance. She also works one to one with her Beautiful Leadership Mentoring programme which supports the transforming of unconscious patterning\, opening up new qualities within and anchoring daily practice and rituals which support a lifestyle that recognises the sacred\, the importance of intuition and creates deeper connection and embodiment of what this time calls forth in us. This is accompanied by The Beautiful Leadership Immersion which covers themes including decolonisation\, vision and edgewalking.
