With Amisha Ghadiali\, founder of The Future is Beautiful. \nIn many ways the power of our listening determines the quality of our life. How much do we actually listen with open hearts and minds? Do we allow for the wisdom that lives inside us\, in each other and in the earth to bloom into form? There is so much valuable information that we can tune into in the subtleties. Here we find so much of the wisdom that we need to embody so we can co-create a beautiful future. \nDeep listening is a modern art form\, that can take us into and beyond the human realms as we explore the interconnected web of our existence.\n\nIn this workshop\, we will explore the spaces of deep listening – to ourselves\, to each other and to Earth. We will take time to centre into soulful stillness and deeply listen to our inner worlds through meditation\, mudra and contemplation. We will connect to each other – sharing our reflections\, practicing active and safe listening. We will take an hour to go on solo micro-pilgrimages into the wild nature surrounding us to listen to the whispers of the Earth.\n\nThroughout our time together we will be weaving in and out of these threads of solitude\, togetherness and interconnectedness with Earth. \nAbout the series\n\nThe calling for us to reconcile our relationship with the Earth\, our common home\, could not be more urgent.  andemics are just one symptom of the delicate balance of life that we have destroyed.  As melting ice caps merge into sea\, wild fires rage\, the body of the earth continues to warm\, it is obvious that political\, economic and even environmental efforts are failing to protect\, preserve or sustain life.  A deeper response is required.  So what kind of actions can truly create the changes we so desperately need? \nAs they say in the Lakota tradition\, we cannot have peace on Earth\, unless we also have peace with Earth.  Spiritual ecology is both an ancient and newly emerging field which brings together ecology and environmentalism with the awareness of nature as alive\, as animate\, and as sacred.  It proposes that at this time of ecological and social unravelling\, spiritual values have the potential to provide the foundation from which to respond and rebuild. \nIn Listening to each other ~ Listening to Earth\, we want to speak the story of interbeing in a way that honours both the human story and the other-than-human story\, exploring how they are inextricably woven together.  We aim to include climate justice and raise up the voices\, wisdom and leadership of people of colour. \n* Reserve your place

We entertain the masses on Facebook live for two hours in the hope we can get people to laugh/cry their way into donating.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nI came up with this idea whilst on a bus in India as a way to get the crowdfund moving for The Future Is Beautiful.\n\n\n\n\nWhy do we need support? Well\, our team are working on this as a gift to the world because there are so many people challenging the dominant story we are living in – and who have ideas that can lead us to a beautiful future. The truth is\, we all have! And that’s why we need inspiring and a little nudge which is what happens on the podcast.\n\n\n\n\n\nWe weave politics\, spirituality\, creativity and sustainability so that we can come out of our silos of thinking into a more integrated way of being.\n\n\n\n\n\nWe interview a diverse range of humans (like you). We want to build a sturdy\, inspiring bridge between ‘self’ and ‘other’.  \nWe want to move from blame culture to empowered\, creative\, and hopeful action. We want to transform our grief and shame at the state of the world into a super-inspiring\, practical vision.  \nWe want to move beyond spiritual bypassing\, narcissism\, tourism and materialism – and instead really embody our values\, starting with the community we find ourself in. \nThis is not easy work\, it’s the road less travelled. We will start and finish the day with a circle where we’ll each have the opportunity to share what is present for us\, and explore the question together with open hearts and minds.  \nWe begin going inside. Amisha will lead an alchemical yoga session guiding us to bring love to our personal and collective wounds as they present themselves in our bodies. Louis will then guide an extended transpersonal meditation which will allow us to connect with the deep healing intelligence of Life\, and kindle our fiery activist hearts. We’ll then hold a grief ritual that will allow us to release our wounds – both personal and collective.   \nIn the afternoon\, we will build a golden bridge from the inner to the outer\, tapping into the creativity and compassion of our activist hearts. She has volunteered on projects all over the world including facilitating UNA-Exchange projects working with kids in valleys of Wales\, to working with teenage orphans in Bulgaria to hosting retreats in India that combine service with spiritual practices. In fact she is taking a group to an orphanage and farm in India next year if you wish to join.  \nwww.amisha.co.uk \n \nLouis Weinstock is a Transpersonal Psychotherapist\, Meditation Teacher\, and Social Entrepreneur. He runs an inclusive spiritual community called Radical Alchemy\, and is cofounder of Bounce Works\, a social enterprise that uses playful design and digital technology to resolve the growing crisis in young people’s mental health. \n\nLouis first discovered meditation aged 10\, when he sat cross-legged on his spiderman duvet and realised that by focusing on his breath he could exert mind over matter. In his early 20s\, after reaching a crisis point\, he dedicated his life to service. His mission has been to empower people trapped on the edges of society\, from homeless young people\, to drug addicts in the criminal justice system. For four years\, he ran a therapeutic education provision for some of London’s most troubled teens. He went on to develop a mindfulness programme for kids with complex trauma\, was invited to consult Headspace on their mindfulness for kids offering\, and has in the last few years specialised in working with grief and people at the end of life.\n\nLouis has travelled extensively\, studying wisdom traditions from around the world\, including both personal and academic studies of Postcolonial Political Psychology\, Surrealist philosophy\, indigenous wisdom traditions\, and studying with meditation masters\, yogis and indigenous wisdom-keepers in Asia\, South America and Europe. We have already recorded interviews with a number of people including Satish Kumar\, Samantha Roddick\, Bruce Parry\, Zerbanoo Gifford\, Hareesh Wallis and Annegret Affolderbach. With many more in the pipeline. \nOn this show we explore the weave between politics\, spirituality\, creativity and sustainability. The people\, projects and ideas we meet here are challenging the dominant world story and creating a beautiful future. We share a new interview every Thursday. \nThis show takes us out of the mainstream narrative\, into deep\, long\, authentic\, unedited conversations. Amisha sits down with our guests face to face so that we get that level of intimacy that you can’t get on a video call. We alternate every week between and a male and a female guest\, and over time we hope to bring real diversity to the show\, both in terms of people from different cultures and backgrounds as well as people that you have heard of and unsung heroes you have not. \nThis project has always been a labour of love\, something that we work on just because we know it’s important. This podcast is starting the same way.
